About the NREMT Paramedic Exam

The NREMT Paramedic cognitive exam is a computer-adaptive test (CAT) that assesses your knowledge of advanced prehospital emergency care. The exam draws from the National EMS Education Standards and tests your ability to apply advanced clinical knowledge to complex patient care scenarios.

The exam includes 80 to 150 questions and adapts to your performance level. Content areas include airway and ventilation, cardiology, trauma, medical emergencies, and EMS operations. Our practice questions are designed to prepare you for the format, difficulty, and clinical reasoning required on test day.
